Aeria Games is a leading publisher for multiplayer online games in the free-to-play market with a broad spectrum of development partners. The Berlin-based company with satellite offices in San Francisco and Seoul develops and publishes high-quality PC, mobile and browser-based games worldwide in nine languages. Aeria's diverse portfolio includes titles such as Echo of Soul, Shaiya, Dawn of Gods, the football manager Goal One and many other games from a wide range of genres. Since July 2016, Aeria Games belongs to the Hamburg-based gamigo group.

To enhance our team at our location in Hamburg at the earliest opportunity, we are looking for a

Java Developer (m/f)

Your responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of our e-commerce backend, the account system, and the connection of the game servers and payment providers
  • Development of scalable applications and micro services to respond to requests from millions of customers
  • Development of the gamigo e-commerce platform architecture and the non-core systems (modularisation, SOA)
  • Creation of technical concepts

 

Your profile:

  • Computer Science degree or vocational training with equivalent experience
  • Very good knowledge of the programming language Java
  • At least 3 years of practical experience with Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, and Tomcat
  • Initial experience with web services (SOAP, REST) and JMS preferable
  • Experience with version control systems (GIT)
  • Continuous integration and test driven development are familiar terrain for you
  • Team player who works and communicates well with others
  • Ability to work under pressure and organise well
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Strong interest in and enthusiasm for online games
